Faith Formation for Children

c8aoqr0r83b8by90gskz8g8el2l.jpgOur faith formation program for children allows them to learn about Jesus and the Church at their appropriate educational-level. Our faith formation program is staffed by dedicated parishioners and volunteers who desire to lead the youth closer to Christ.

It is expected that parents will enroll their children, beginning when they are in 1st grade in elementary school. Of course, this does not always happen, thus, children are placed not by grade, but by year of entry in our faith formation program. Children need two years to prepare for their First Holy Communion as well as for the sacrament of Confirmation. Likewise, the children need to be enrolled in each year of class in between Communion and Confirmation.

Here is how we have structured our faith formation program for the children of our parish:

Eucharist Preparation 1 (EP1): This is the child's first year in the program.
Eucharist Preparation 2 (EP2): Second year includes First Reconciliation and First Communion.
Grade 3
Grade 4
Grade 5
Grade 6
Confirmation Preparation 1 (CP1): First year of preparation for Confirmation.
Confirmation Preparation 2 (CP2): Second year of class, includes sacrament of Confirmation.

We believe that each child is unique and has specific needs. Please talk with us to see how we can best serve your child as they grow in their faith!
