In the year 2010, the parish of St. John Neumann was formed when three south Scranton parishes (Holy Name of Jesus, Nativity of Our Lord, and St. Mary of the Assumption) were consolidated as one faith community. To learn more about St. John Neumann, our patron saint, click here.

Today, our parish of St. John Neumann upholds the great customs and memories of these three churches while forging new traditions together! Check out our bulletin to see all that we are doing as a parish.

As a Roman Catholic parish of the Diocese of Scranton, we believe God is actively at work whenever we gather to break open the Word of God, celebrate the sacraments, and serve the Lord Jesus in our sisters and brothers.

Our Mission Statement:

We the people of Saint John Neumann Parish
see the Eucharist as source and summit of our
joyful faith.  Our united purpose is building a
deeper spirituality through loving neighbor and
witnessing the Gospel to the world.
